Windows PowerShell or Linux (WSL)?
- Windows PowerShell works straight away. Good for trying SoluTerminal and for Windows projects.
- Linux (WSL) is what most coding agents work best in. It's also needed for "see what changed" (in git projects).
-
Set up WSL: right-click the tray icon → Repair setup,
or run
wsl --installin PowerShell as administrator. Windows asks for administrator permission and a restart. Save your work first: the restart closes your open panes. Your Claude and Codex conversations can be picked up again afterwards (Alt+U, or past sessions in the New session dialog). After the restart, Ubuntu asks you to create a Linux username and password; then reopen SoluTerminal. - In Linux mode you can open Windows PowerShell panes next to Linux ones.
